FAMILY AND KWANZAA CREATIONS

Congratulations to family historian, our cousin, Gloria Leaks Gaymon, on her new business venture! The Editor of Newberry Roots Newsletter has a new website she would like you to visit. She is a genealogist who has a wealth of information on research she has done and can help us trace our family history. GLORIA HAS CREATED A NEW 2010 PAGE-A-DAY KWANZAA CALENDAR. This is a good tool for anyone including parents and children to use together to find and record our history and live the Kwanzaa principles starting this month- Black History Month and throughout the year. (See News Release below.)

Family and friends who are in the community may contact Gloria directly regarding obtaining the calendar to avoid shipping & handling charges. Phone: 215-549-4241. Or anyone can order by sending an email or ordering on line.

ACADEMIC & ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS!

CJ has been nominated for Gold Star Chili Player of the Week. Here are the stats from Friday alone: C.J. Collins ran for 240 yards and had three touchdowns, added 105 yards passing and two touchdowns, and returned a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown. That was just for one week as he would say, “the sickest QB in the MVC.” I think we would agree. For the year, CJ had over 1000 yards rushing and he was the QB, close to a 1000 yards passing if not more and quite a few touchdowns, that’s why they call him FLASH!

Because of contributions by Craig, his school’s track team also had a record breaking year. Craig received a full scholarship to the University of Charleston West Virginia.

Craig is the son of Craig Collins and the grandson of the late, Mary Sue Lake Collins.

Look for Flash in the National Football League (after college).
