News from Sherlynne Lake of Atlanta, Georgia:

After becoming an empty nester, I moved from Ohio to Atlanta to pursue my dream of becoming a nail educator, a celebrity nail technician and opening a franchise nail school along with opening a Beauty Salon.  I thank God I was able to accomplish this this year.

My daughter Raven Chambers welcomed princess Imani A. Wright on May 26, 2016.  She is a sweet adorable baby. (Photos below are of me with my wonderful grandchildren.)  Our lovely 2-year old is Layla Brielle Johnson and our 6-year old is Jaehdyn Zymir Coleman.  They are the children of my daughter, Raven, grandchildren of Sherlynne Lake, great grandchildren of Sylvia D. Lake and great-great grandchildren of the late, Barbara Lake Jenkins.

My grandson, Jaehdyn Coleman was promoted to 1st grade and plays little league football for the Columbus Raiders.

Congrats Sherlynne, Continued Blessings!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hello Cousin Mary,

I wanted to take a moment and share my story: Back in October 2015, I decided to step away from my corporate job after 8 years of service as a Branch Manager. After no longer feeling fulfilled I decided to trust the masters plan, so I stepped out on faith. Only to see that God’s promise is always true, he said he would never leave you, nor forsake you, but he will supply your needs! So with that I started my new journey. I’m now building my own financial services business, educating families on the importance of making and saving money, which I love so much. Also my most prized possession is my new book called Keep Calm It’s Simply Your Journey released early this year in April 2016. I’m so excited to be a part of such a great family Wilson, Herbert, and Lake Family. I love you all and continue to be awesome!

Love, Retha Louis
