The Blessings of a Big Family
The blessings of a big family are only seen by a few A few of the chosen ones that God has given this blessing too
The blessings are so numerous it’s hard to even start to number or to name them but they all hold a place in the heart
The heart of every person in a big family is unique it’s uniqueness makes us special and should not be critiqued
The memories that are made are more precious than gold from babies to weddings from young and to old
From grandparents to grandchildren and everyone in between the many special relationships that are built and could have never been foreseen
Thank you God for my big family I will treasure through the good times and bad the memories could not be measured
Thank you God for birthdays, simple get-togethers and even the tears for I pray that these blessings last many, many more years
To have a big family can be a lot of work, not just play but life is too short so I THANK GOD FOR MY BIG FAMILY TODAY!

WE SORROWFULLY INFORM YOU OF THE PASSING OF CHARLES JAMES CROWDER, JR., OF ARDMORE, PA. CHARLES WAS VERY CARING, CHEERFUL AND A HARD WORKING PERSON. CHARLES WAS A MEMBER IN THE EARLY YEARS OF OUR PHILADELPHIA CHAPTER WILSON LAKE HERBERT FAMILY REUNION CIRCLE. COUSIN AND FRIEND, RALPH HERBERT, SR., WHO INITIALLY CONTACTED THE SHERATON HOTEL AT 17TH & JFK BLVD ABOUT A CONTRACT, STATES CHARLES WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING OUR CHAPTER SECURE EXCELLENT HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS AT THE FIRST PHILADELPHIA WILSON LAKE HERBERT FAMILY REUNION WHICH WAS IN 1975. HE WAS EMPLOYED AT THE SHERATON HOTEL AT THE TIME AND NEGOTIATED WITH MANAGEMENT, STATING THAT LABOR DAY WEEKEND HISTORICALLY WAS NOT A BUSY TIME FOR HOTELS BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE TRAVELED TO THE SHORE AREAS AND CONSEQUENTLY THEY NEEDED OUR BUSINESS. WE GOT A VERY GOOD DEAL. THIS BECAME ONE OF OUR FUTURE BARGAINING POINTS FOR PHILADELPHIA. CHARLES WAS THE LOVING BROTHER OF CARMITA C. POE AND SHEILA C. MOBLEY. HE IS VERY FONDLY REMEMBERED BY OUR FAMILY.

Everything is going well with the Logan family.
Tatiana Logan, recently celebrated her 13th birthday in May of this year. She is now going to the 8th grade. She is so excited for the new school year.
Clifford Logan III, celebrated his 15th birthday in April this year. He enjoyed that day doing his favorite thing, paint balling with family and friends. He is looking forward to his big paint ball party for his Masculine 16th birthday party.
Jeremiah Logan, celebrated his 10th birthday in February of this year. Jeremiah is still playing football for the South West Wolves. He is looking forward to the new season starting in September 2016 as a running back and line man.
Clifford and Latoya Logan Jr., celebrated their 13th year Wedding Anniversary in March of this year. They are still attending, The Church of Christian Compassion at 61st and Cedar Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. Shown in photo below with his grandchildren, Tatiana, Clifford and Jeremiah is Walter Hollingsworth.

Dara E. Herbert celebrated her 25th Birthday Party at her home on January 16, 2016. She did a fantastic job in the planning of the Event- everything was great! The party was for her peers only, her parents and other adults were not invited and had to leave before the party actually started “rocking.” Dara had a candle lit outdoor heated tent put up with high tables & chairs to add to the ambience for her guests. Shown above is a beautiful photo of Dara and a gorgeous table scape and her Birthday Cake which was made in the shape of a suit case and was mouth-watering delicious I might add! The suit case is a symbol of her interest in travel. Over the past 2 years, Dara has traveled to Punta Cana, New Orleans, LA, Tuskegee, Alabama, Jamaica, Dallas, TX, and cities around the Philadelphia metropolitan area and she has plans for many more destinations. Dara works with children in the School District of Philadelphia and is working on her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, which she expects to be complete early next year.

Kyra celebrated her Sweet Sixteen Birthday Party at her home in May, 2016. Everything was lovely. And she was very happy that many of her friends joined in her celebration. The food, DJ, décor all made the occasion very special. She received many nice gifts including a special ring from her dad.

DENZEL L. HERBERT Graduated in June 2017 from Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance. Denzel was a member of BRIDGE at the School since its inception and he became Co-Chair this past year where he coordinated the Program along with the Director. BRIDGE is a Program at LeBow College of Busininess Drexel University and is a learning community created in 2012 to support underrepresented students as they develop into leaders of the future. (Photo below is of Denzel at a Toyota Business with BRIDGE). Denzel is currently looking for a job — he said mid-to-late September would be fine!
Denzel’s parents, Christopher and Denise gave him a graduation party which was a lot of fun!
