Family History for Darryl, Michael and Christopher Herbert Dec. 11, 1988 -THE HERBERT’S PAST PRESENT & FUTURE

PLEASE WAIT A FEW MOMENTS FOR VIDEO TO LOAD. THIS VIDEO WAS PUT TOGETHER BY FLETCHER AND MYSELF (MARY) IN DECEMBER, 1988 FOR OUR SONS AND FOR ALL OF THE FAMILY TO HAVE AND TO REFER TO, NOW AND LATER ON IN LIFE. WE GATHERED OUR PHOTOS -100’s  AND BORROWED MANY OTHERS TO MAKE THIS VIDEO. THERE WERE PHOTO’S LAID OUT ALL OVER THE LIVING AND DINING ROOM CHAIRS AND FLOORS. WE TAPED OURSELVES WITH VERBAL HISTORY GOING BACK TO 1820 TO THEIR GREAT GREAT GREAT GRANDPARENTS AND THEN PULLED IT ALL TOGETHER SHOWING PHOTOS OF GRANDPARENTS (BOTH SIDES), AUNTS, UNCLES, COUSINS, AND ALSO SOME OF OUR PETS.  THE PHOTOS ARE OF EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS IN OUR LIVES, ETC. THIS WAS THEN SET TO MUSIC WITH THE HELP OF FAMILY FRIEND, PHILADELPHIA VIDEOGRAPHER, TED PENDERGRAST.

WE HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS BIT OF HISTORY SET TO MUSIC AND RECOGNIZE SOME OF OUR FAMILY MEMBERS.

FIRST DAY OF SPRING — MARCH 20, 2015

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

THANK GOD FOR THIS DAY WHICH HE HAS MADE.  HERE IN PHILADELPHIA, PA WE ARE HAVING SNOW TODAY AND THE  CROCUS ARE BLOOMING.  WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO TOMORROW WHEN THE SNOW WILL MELT ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER REPORT.

GOD IS SO AMAZING, HE IS RIGHT ON TIME!

WE HAVE SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR, IN SPITE OF THE STATE OF THE UNION AND LACK OF MOVEMENT BY SOME OF OUR LEGISLATURES IN CONGRESS  AND THE SENATE.  BUT WE MUST REMEMBER AND PREPARE TO VOTE AND SPEAK OUT TO MAKE THE NECESSARY CHANGES SO THAT OUR VOICES CAN BE HEARD.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

MY PRAYER FOR YOU TODAY IS THAT OUR HEAVENLY FATHER WILL CONTINUE TO WATCH OVER AND BLESS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF US — THE MEMBERS OF THE WILSON LAKE HERBERT FAMILY WHEREVER WE MAY BE AT THIS TIME.  WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL KEEP US SAFE AND GUIDE US IN OUR DAILY LIVES.  WE PRAY THAT FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE SICK AND SHUT IN THAT GOD WILL HEAL US AND RELIEVE US OF ANY PAIN AND SUFFERING WE MAY HAVE AND THAT WE’LL BE BLESSED WITH GOOD HEALTH.  FOR THOSE OF US WHO ARE IN NEED OF A FINANCIAL BLESSING, WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL TURN THAT AROUND AND SUPPLY US WITH ALL OUR NEEDS AND BLESS US ABUNDANTLY.

WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL CHANGE THE HEARTS OF OUR HATERS AND SOME OF THE LEADERS IN WASHINGTON, DC AND GIVE OTHERS WHO WE VOTED FOR THE COURAGE THEY NEED TO STAND UP ON BEHALF OF THE AVERAGE PERSON.  WE PRAY THAT THE TERRORISTS AROUND THE WORLD REFRAIN FROM HARMING INNOCENT MEN,    WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

WE PRAY THAT GOD WILL KEEP A HEDGE OF PROTECTION OVER OUR FAMILY AND THAT HE WILL CONTINUE TO BLESS AND KEEP OUR PRESIDENT-  PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA AND HIS FAMILY.

WE THANK GOD FOR ALL THESE BLESSINGS IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST.  AMEN

SOME OF OUR FAMILY FROM PHILADELPHIA WERE AT THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON ON 8/24/2013

50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MARCH ON WASHINGTON

Ralph Herbert, Jr., Earnest Herbert, Jr., Aaron Herbert and Christopher Calloway went to Washington, DC on Saturday August 24, 2013.

Ralph reports his experience there was awesome. It was such a good feeling to be there to commemorate the historical event. He says he is proud of how far we’ve come but still there are miles to go. He was very happy to share this experience with at least one of his sons; he wishes his son, Andrew and daughter, Amy had been there also.

Aaron felt it was a definitely an epic experience being there. He always admired Dr. King, what he stood for and his sacrifices to our country. He feels that every African American of all ages should visit the Martin Luther King Memorial. Aaron said he feels so inspired after attending this 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington.

Earnest Herbert and Christopher Calloway were excited and proud to attend such a monumental event also.1241285_10200425805475106_241172627_n1082398_10200425439065946_1563790697_n
