WLH Website Administration Updates

: RECENT UPDATE TO THE WEBSITE FAMILY DIRECTORY PAGE :

The family directory page should be more user friendly and allow members quick and easy access to profile information to all members to build family relationships.

Hello Family,

I wanted to let you all know how wonderful and blessed I feel to be part of such a well connected and organized family and heritage. As I read through the posts and review our family’s history I can’t help but to know who I am and where I come from. Identity is so important to us as a race and as a family. Our children present today and for generations to come will look and read and realize they are not just a random event, but a purposed and powerful human being and that they are part of a great force on earth (our Family) that they are loved and that they are not alone. By God’s Grace and Divine purpose he created us in his image and made us as one family and one heritage to impact each other and those around us for the good of all. That is the intended purpose for this website/newsletter.

Thank you all for sharing your life stories, photos, videos and events and making this website something that will impact our family and only strengthen us for years to come to be an even greater force of family and love for many years to come.

I only ask one thing for each of us to do as members of this website, newsletter and as a family member.

As you take the time to visit the site frequently:

Please visit your profile page and update it with all of your information and add or email us your favorite photo of you or your family to complete the profile:

1. Complete the First and Last name fields.
2. Complete the bio section by telling us about yourself and family.
3. email Mary Herbert your photo or family portrait to add to your profile.
4. Visit the Family Directory page and get to know other members in our family locally and abroad
5. * Please be encouraged to leave positive and inspiring comments often to post that impact you and your household
6. Your comments and posts will become apart of your profile and allow you to connect with others. * To view sample Profile pages to see how comments will be displayed and linked visit Mary Herbert’s or Devin Haley’s profile display in the Family Directory .

Please be generous with your time and efforts in completing your profiles and sending in your profile photos. We really want this to be a complete directory and great tool for the family to learn, grow and love together on each other.

Please be blessed and keep God First in all things.

(SHINING STAR Lyrics: Yeah, hey When you wish upon a star Dreams will take you very far, yeah When you wish upon a dream Life ain´t always what it seems, oh yeah Once you see your light so clear In the sky so very dear You´re a shining star, no matter who you are Shining bright to see what you can truly be That you can truly be Shining star come into view Shine is watchful light on you, yeah Gives you strength to carry on Make your body big and strong Future roads for you to pass Love to watch your mug past The shining star, lucky you The sinful redeeming shall be true On an adventure of the sun, yeah Yeah it´s all awake and just begun Yeah, thought I had to stir the mood That´s it now I got my own oh yeah So if you find yourself in need Why don´t you listen to his words of heat Be a child free of sin Be some place, yes I can Words of wisdom: yes I can You´re a shining star, no matter who you are Shining bright to see what you can truly be You´re a shining star, no matter who you are Shining bright to see what you can truly be Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be Shining star for you to see, what your life can truly be. >>>WILSON, LAKE, HERBERT FAMILY SONG, written by HELEN LAKE

The WLH Song Video

WILSON LAKE HERBERT FAMILY SONG

Helen Lake is the writer and composer of our Family Song —

Click on album center below for lyrics and hear music video of  Wilson Lake Herbert Family Song:

Background of The Wilson Lake Herbert Family Reunion Song.   By Helen  Lake

When I composed this song I wrote into words the feelings we all no doubt experience each year when we meet and greet each other.

The last verse reflects how I was thinking about how God has truly blessed our family with the longevity of our family getting together from year to year, so I used the words “We Have Our GOD To Carry Us Through” in the last verse to give recognition to God for this.

I sang the song for the first time in the 1990’s at the home of John Roy and Carol Lake during a DC Chapter monthly family reunion meeting just to see what the members present thought about it.  Everyone enjoyed it and the rest is history.
