VOTED MVP OF THE GAME 8 TIMES

Ja’Ceree Caldwell is the son of Shonda & Cecil Caldwell, grandson of Forrest & Sara Werts. Since we last saw each other, Ja’Ceree has had many accomplishments on and off the football field. Ja’Ceree is truly following in his fathers and uncles footsteps. With that being said, Ja’Ceree has truly been rewarded for his talents. His football accomplishments over the past year, have been his receiving: LINEMEN OF THE YEAR AWARD; VOTED MVP OF THE GAME 8 TIMES; CROWNED HOMECOMING KING; DEFENSIVE MVP PLAYER OF THE YEAR; and the COACHES RIGHT CHOICE AWARD. Ja’Ceree also scored the winning touch down in the super bowl game. In addition to football achievements he has also received several honors in school such as: ATHLETE OF THE YEAR; SUPER SCIENCE AWARD and SUPER ENGLISH AWARD. Ja’Ceree will be going to the sixth grade this year, as well as returning to his 2nd love- the field, but this year he will not be alone, he will be teaming up with his brother, Ja’Maree.

If you believe it, you can achieve it. May GOD continue to bless us all.”

  Denzel and Christopher

Denzel and Christopher

Christopher (Kareem) Herbert said he started attending The Art Institute of Philadelphia on August 20th where he is majoring in audio production. He is very optimistic and is enjoying all of his classes so far. He became interested in this field through his work on the Audio Visual Ministry at his church-Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church. He sometimes earns money for special audio productions he is asked to do. This summer Chris was part of the audio team working at the Carribean Festival at Philadelphia’s Penn’s Landing. He is planning to keep his part-time job on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania where he is an animal care assistant. Chris was involved in the initial planning of the WLH Newsletter.com Website and is a consultant.

Denzel said he received a 3.4 GPA and will soon have a 3.8 GPA. He is going into 11th grade at George Washington Carver High School of Engineering & Science. He enjoyed playing 2nd baseman on his school’s baseball team this spring. Denzel has his driver’s permit and is looking forward to getting his license and driving real soon. Denzel was employed for the first time during the month of July at his church. He drew his first paycheck at the end of the month and while at the bank with his brother to cash his check, the teller asked him how he wanted his money. . . puzzled he looked at her as if she was crazy and said . . . “CASH ! ! !” . . . (His brother, Chris and the teller both chuckled.) Then Denzel said- “Oh! . . ten’s and twenties!” with a smile. He was a happy guy!
