(This is my third trip to Hawaii)
Picture #1 below, is me Judy Lake touring a Lava Flow on one of the Hawaiian Islands. I am sitting on actual hard lava that stopped just before it covered the highway.

Picture #3 below. This is me standing in front of an active volcano area as they call it. The ground is not safe and tend to cave in.

In this picture I am getting ready to enter a cave that was formed by this lava flow. I went into the cave with the group. It was dark, wet, had bats and it was just awful.
