This year, June 9, 2009, Corey L. Harris, grandson of Raymond J. and Mignon J. Wilson, Sr. graduated from Luke C. Moore Academy (High School) in Washington, D.C. He was the president of the senior class and a member of the National Honor Society. He was also the speaker for his senior class. His theme was, “The Tassle Was Worth the Hassle.” He will be attending P. G. Community College in the fall.

Dara reports she graduated in June from George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science with a 3.7 GPA. She was a member of the National Beta Club, the National Honor Society and received a Merit Award for Academics and a Citizenship Award. In addition, she received a scholarship from the Prince Hall Masons (Uncle Ralph’s Masonic Organization), and from the Awbury Arboretum for her volunteer work, and an Academic Scholarship from Tuskegee University.
She started Tuskegee on August 26 where she is pursuing a degree in biology and pre-med. She said she really is enjoying herself and the work is not too hard, yet. She likes meeting new people from everywhere.

Hanoi Darden graduated from Norristown High School and was awarded a full scholarship to Johnson C. Smith University. Hanoi was a member of the National Honor Society and the field hockey team. Hanoi is the great granddaughter of Ephraim Lake.
