when you want to do it, where you want to do it, and, how you want to do it.” Catherine Pulsifer

Keep a SMILE on your face

And a SONG in your heart!

A smile – is a sign of joy.

A hug – is a sign of love.

A laugh – is a sign of happiness.

And a friend like me? – Well that’s just a sign of good taste!!

He is the husband of the late, Luecretia Herbert Haley of Philadelphia, PA. He celebrated his 98th Birthday on August 1, 2010.   Uncle Morris currently resides in New Castle, DE with his daughter, Patricia.   He lives a good life, keeps up with current events and doesn’t want to miss anything. “Photos above and to the left are of my brother, James, sister, Robin and me and my mother Patricia celebrating her retirement on Sunday July 4th, 2010 at her house in Delaware. The celebration included my grand father and most of my mother’s grand children (the children of Me, Robin and James) who are also included. Note that five of her grandchildren were not able to attend. My mother has 15 grand children total.”
“There is a picture of her cutting her cake which stated Celebrate Life, Enjoy Your Retirement. She also received a weekend trip to Las Vegas from me, James and Robin which she will be taking sometime this fall.”

HAPPY TO BE RECUPPERATING AND RETIRED!

Gloria Leaks Gaymon reports: “This has been a trying year for myself. I had bilateral knee replacements in March. I returned to the hospital on May 25th for what is called a manipulation, which actually was a 2 month setback. However, things are improving! I am still in therapy 3 days per week, down from 5 days per week. I do not have the type of pain in my knees that I had prior to surgery.”

“I have retired from my job of teaching history to high school students in Philadelphia, after 33 1/2 years so that I can really focus on recuperating. After my recuperation is over, I plan to write, travel and continue researching family history.”

Respectfully Submitted,

Gloria Leaks Gaymon, Editor of Newberry Roots Newsletter, Philadelphia, PA Chapter
