Stephanie has been having fun playing with her first best friend, Faith this summer. She attends the Summer Enrichment Program with her brother and has been enjoying going on family outings, such as Dorney Park and to the beach. She received high marks on her report card and is looking forward to going into 1st grade at A.B. Day School in the fall.
Stephen was promoted to 4th grade at A.B. Day School with a good report card. He received a high score on this PSSA Test. He has been enjoying his summer attending the Summer Enrichment Program, learning to play Chess by his brother, Michael, Jr. and dad, Michael, Sr. They all enjoy playing with their dog Cindy shown in photo. The family has been enjoying a Family Membership at the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Philadelphia where they have access to swimming, the Gym and all of the amenities there every day.

Dara Elizabeth Herbert states she has been enjoying her summer back home in Philadelphia spending quality time with family and friends. She has been working as a teacher at her cousin’s establishment, Watoto Summer Camp in Wynnefield, PA
Dara states she is also happy about going into her 3rd year at Tuskeegee University in late August and also moving into her new apartment. Keep striving to do your very best, Dara!!!

Devyn Mary Herbert graduated from Spruce Hill Christian School on June 9, 2011. She was the recipient of several awards including top award for Christian Character; the Dance and Vocal Ensemble and Community Service. She was one of the speakers at the commencement. She is excited about starting her new school, Academy at Palumbo High School in September.
Devyn states she has enjoyed her self this summer, spending time with her sister Dara-“riding shotgun” with her, going on various trips and working at the Watoto Summer Camp and at Virtuous Woman Hair Salon. Continued Success, Dev!!!

Christopher (Kareem) Herbert has been keeping busy living in his own Apartment; still attending the Art Institute of Philadelphia and working. He said he is doing well. He is looking forward to graduation in March of next year and is “Staying Motivated!!!”

Kyra Herbert has been enjoying her summer at Summer Camp everyday. She played Soccer with the Enon Girl’s Soccer Team and was instrumental in their winning the championship this year. In late June she had a great time vacationing with her parents and brother’s, Kareem and Denzel on a cruise in Canada. And she is excited about returning to C.W. Henry School in September where she will enter the 6th Grade.

Denzel received several awards at his graduation in June from George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science.
He was awarded for proficiency in Math, Science and Reading and Perfect Attendance. He was accepted at all of the colleges he applied to but he chose Drexel University which is in Philadelphia. He will be on Campus starting in September majoring in Accounting. Congratulations, Denzel!!!
Denzel attended 2 Proms this year. He went to his own Prom with his long time good friend, Grier. SEE VIDEO BELOW of their Prom send-off.

On June 10th Justin-Devin Maurice Haley attended his Senior Prom at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom at 201 S. Christopher Columbus Boulevard in the Penn’s Landing area of Philadelphia.
He Graduated from the Maritime Academy Charter High School the following week on June 16th with an Honor’s Award for Music Achievements and will be attending college at Mansfield University as a Music Business and Technical Major.

“My name is Kennise Baker, one of my goals was to become an A-B honor roll student and I finally accomplished that task. I also received a plaque from my teacher for being a studious young lady. My plans for my Junior year is to remain an A-B honor roll student even though my course schedule will consists of: AP English, AP US History, Geometry, Chemistry 1, Spanish 3, Criminal Justice 1 and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID – 2nd year in this program). My future plans are to attend James Madison University and become a counselor or social worker.”
Kennise’ mom, Denise King, reports that Kennise has been invited to travel and study in England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland in the summer of 2011 with “People to People” an educational exploration program founded by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. Kennise was identified because of her participation in the College Board Student Search Service- the organization that administers the SAT and PSAT. Her mother says “this is a great opportunity for Kennise that she may take advantage of next year.” She said, she is “so proud of her.”
Kennise is a student at West Potomac High School and resides in Alexandria, VA. with her mom, Denise King.
